A little post processing on #2 and you will have the best breeding plummage shot I ever saw outside the cover of Outdoor Photographer. I like the buzzard shot too. Drat, I just spent 15 days shooting in FL and never came across and Egret dressed in its finery. Very nice!

These are great shots. I agree with above, a little adjustment in the exposure level could really make that second shot awesome.
