2 photos for the ladies. Anyone can look
Posted By: little laker, 10-24-2007, 02:30 PM

I took these pictures while in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada the other day.

It was really windy that day, so I'm lucky that they turned out as good as they did

Be glad you did not (or hardly) use flash! The colors in the background make the flower more powerful!

Thanks SYB

No flash involved in these pictures.
If I don't need one I just don't use it. And the only time that I seem to need one is on a bright day to eliminate the shadows.

The colours are nice, but the images look very soft to my eyes - the edges aren't sharp at all. Perhaps this is a result of movement from the wind?

That's exactly what it is bonovox.
I used my sharpest lens, but they were constantly moving

Penticton can be a very windy city, but I still had to try.

I may be a guy but I particularly like the first one.

Very nice pictures! Lots of warm emotion!

Thanks Buschmaster,

Trust me on this one.
If I didn't like them as well they wouldn't have been posted

Great shots, I really like the warm lighting, and the softness of the petals emphazises the effect.

You don't think 1/750s would freeze any motion blur?

My personal favorite is the first one but I would have liked to see it in a vertical plane. Given the windy conditions, you did a great job.
