Crocodile Lake. I had never heard of it until a friend planned the trip. Fantastic walleye lake. The only way into it is by a single portage off East Bearskin up the Gunflint. Entry point 66. If you get a permit for that entry then Crocodile is the only lake you can sleep on, which makes it unpopular for overnight trips.
It's a long skinny lake, and worth a day trip back into the furthest point.... lot's of narrow passages that open up into more lake, and plenty of wildlife. Saw beavers and a pine martin, and as we were portaging around a beaver damn we saw moose prints. There are several camping sites on the lake but only one really worth staying at.
