Crocodile Lake is in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota. It's not hard to get to, but incredibly remote. It's a dead-end lake.... the only way in out is the same way you came in, and most people like their trips to be loops. I was there with a friend for three days and never saw anyone but us. I got up extra early on our last morning to get some sunrise pics.
There is virtually no color adjustment on this photo, and no cropping. It was part of a bracketed series that I intended to HDR'ize, but this one single shot was far better than any compilation of the entire series.
