Still that much snow Heinrich.
I'm sure it'll warm up soon where you are.
Enjoy the spring change when it finally arrives.

Heinrich, we are now camped in Casa Grande, Arizona where at least one third of the people are either from Alberta or BC. I can see why after viewing your great photos. stay warm Bob

Merry Christmas Heinrich. Love the second shot; it is stunning. Just got back from 10 days at the beach. It was in the 80's and I fear I have a sunburn.

Thank you Scott, it's not really all that unusual but last year this time we were working in the garden.

Take care,

Hi Rupert and thank you. The robins came back a few days ago and they like this about as much as we do. We rarely see them at the feeder but that's were they were this morning.

Take care,

Hi Bob and thank you. As far as camping is concerned it'll be a day or two before we are going anywhere.

This is from a few weeks ago, it's worse now.

Hi Susan and thank you for the nice comments. Sunburn is not good either, been there and done that and it was not nice.

Take care,

Heinrich, misery loves company and you have plenty of it from our part of the cold world. People down south keep asking me if the ice is melting off the lakes, but with minus twenty nights and minus ten days I have to say we are making ice, not melting it...

yes a very cold spring so far

but, you know how it works, once those temps go up the melt happens seemingly overnight. Hang in there, it is just a matter of time!!

Hi tess and thank you, it is really not that unusual it's just that last year this time we were planting garlic. I just hope that it will not melt
too fast or there will be major floods.

Take care,

Hi Jim and you are of course absolutely right and it does hold that record by the way. As far as the rain goes you are very welcome to it.

Take care,

Nope, Heinrich, spring's not supposed to look that way . . . . . . . but it did yesterday in St. Louis where we were visiting. This morning, I had to cuss and scrape ice and snow off the rental before we could drive it to the airport - cold wet feet and numb fingers - reminds me of my 20+ years in Michigan and Ohio.

It was great to step off the plane into a muggy, 80F Houston afternoon when we got off the plane a couple of hours ago.
