The Robins have been back in this area for a week or so. Unfortunately we've had a bit of a cold snap and record snowfall for this time of year. This guy was trying to stay warm and get a drink through the thin film of ice.

Not my favorite bird but wonderful pictures of the robin nevertheless. Love the first two.

Thanks Jim,

Damn cold here today. Stayed outside as long as I could stand it (20 min) and gave up. It's supposed to be spring now right?

I know what you mean but he was the only one willing to pose.

On the other hand this forum has an international flavour to it and those in other parts of the world might like a look at birds they don't normally see.
