Natural Bridges NP, Utah
Camera: Optio E40, P/S Photo Location: Utah

Located on the Cedar Mesa off of Hwy 95 in UT, intermittent streams have cut two deep canyons and three massive bridges in sandstone. Each bridge can be reached off of a trail while touring the area in your vehicle. Natural bridges are quite rare compared to Arches which are formed by many erosional forces such as wind, rain and frost action, while the natural bridges are formed mainly by water erosion. The largest bridge shown has reached its peak width and could collapse at anytime according to the park ranger. Stress cracks have formed in many areas.

Amazing formations - I love to look at natural bridges because they appear so . . . . unnatural. Nice job, Bob.

besides the natural bridges, if you look careful across the ravine you can view an ancient Anasazi settlement.
