With fishing season fast approaching (Friday!), I decided to go have a look at the water levels around some of my spring brown trout hot spots. In one area I was greeted by probably 70-80 Canada Geese that have recently returned from the South - a sure sign that Spring is upon us.

They're bounding about with joy that it's spring, it would seem! Good luck with the fishing. It'll be raining and snowing here on opening day, with HIGH water.

I think at that moment they were just scared of what was approaching them (me). They're calling for lots of rain and some snow here tomorrow now - I'm hoping it's an April fools joke... It won't stop me from hitting the water though
