Wow, great shot! I used to see those around here, but haven't lately. I have a regular Woody that comes by several times a day and a few other species, but no Flickers this year.

Lovely shot and a beautiful bird ! Was that the Tamron or Sigma 70-200 ? Either way, either the bird was close or it crops superbly !

This was a Sigma 70-200 and I was about 10 feet away shooting from my car window, hand held manual focus because my damn focus stopped working a fe months ago. JIM
