Dead Babies.....
Lens: Kiron 105 2.8 Macro Camera: K5 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F16

I shot this of a Mama Wasp working on her nest of babies......It wasn't the best of shots, I thought I could do better and went back to give it a try......only to find that Mrs Rupert had murdered the Mama Wasp and her babies too. Sort of scares me, Otis too....
Regards!

Lovely shot ! Pity about the deaths though - I'm sure they do a lot of good, bit scary though (both Mrs Rupert & the Wasp) !

I'd be worried too Rupert. But surely just because she took out a few pesky critters doesn't mean she'll be coming after you and Otis next? Does it?

It's just possible that Mrs. Rupert has all the common sense in the family. Those critters hurt you know.

Thanks All! I still think I could have gotten a better shot, but I'll never know.

To complicate things, Mrs Rupert read this post and swears she didn't do it...but did admit that she was planning on it. There was no one here but the two of us, and since I do not kill these critters, it had to be her or her cat Mr Kitty. Either way, it is scary for me and Otis. Otis is afraid that if Mrs Rupert did it, and can't even remember it, we might need to start sleeping with one eye open. I'm with Otis on this one.....if he has any spare room, I may just try moving in where I have an Army of Squirrels surrounding me as I sleep.
Best Regards!
