First Macro Attempts
Lens: M 50 1.7 and tubes Camera: K2000 Photo Location: Home ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

Here are the first few attempts at some macro shots. ISO and shutter speeds vary but they are around 200 and 1/180s. I don't have an external flash so I made a flash diffuser that utilizes the on camera flash. The background isn't the most flattering but I'm still getting used to minimal movement and actually seeing the insects in the viewfinder, composition will come later.

C&C welcome

Thanks,
Michael

Very nice shots. I especially like what you did with the spider (even thought I cannot stand spiders). it's definitely your most creative. Good luck on your macro adventure.

Yea I agree. I've been shooting around f11-16 and the occasional 22. I haven't messed with any image stack software so all my pics are single shots. The problem I've encountered thus far is having an abundant amount of light using the on camera flash for the very small apertures.

Thanks for your advice.

I know what you mean, I am not a fan of spiders but would really like to get some good pictures of them though.
