Blind Lines - Results of Desperation
Lens: DA 40/2.8 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Music Room

I'm reduced to this. Our planned 3-or-4-day move to the boat and our first sail since the end of last November was postponed owing to the wind blowing like stink with gusts and holes aplenty. It's also a cloudy day and not the roadster type of afternoon. So . . . . . after the morning walk, after the bike ride, after reading part of the book that's almost due back to the library, after of hitting a few licks on the keyboards, after the last look at the stock market, after cussing and discussing the news, and after a couple of beers: I shot these . . . . . .

Talk about symptoms of newcameraitis!

Jer

I like these Will you live aboard for the season? Can't wait to see the photos if you do ! I am currently Marrooned to dry land so a pic or too with filled sail would sure be nice.

Interesting interpretation of something most people see everyday but not in the way presented!

Yup, my SOH is still intact - it's my mind that I'm worried about!

Appreciate it, Eric. Naw, we don't live aboard; it's just a little 30 footer (Catalina 30 MkIII) we use as a weekender and putzing around Galveston Bay. This winter (as well as last) presented an abnormally high number of very cold days, so we've gone an unusually long time since our last sail. The season'll be picking up now though, so we hope to get back in harness soon.

Thanks, EM. Charitable comment, indeed.

shootin' pics is like the old saying, when one door closes, another one opens.... always something new and different to shoot..
the shadow/light play in b+w is cool... sort of a film noire look... (yeah, a big fan of classic movies)

Thanks, buddy - and I'm also a fan of the old B&W's; just watched the original "Frankenstein" (and it's art deco demeanor) a few days ago.

I finally realized that there were two pics here. Thought you had removed a slat in the middle of the blind. Talk about needing to get out more. Hope the weather clears for you soon Jer so you can post something I recognize. I'm going back to bed.

Thanks, Susan - I think we'll get plenty of good sailing days. I hope you slept well; I find that I get into a more effective beta state when I close the blinds .
