love raptors jim... the 1st shot is spectacular.... interesting mix of flowers and rust... wonderfully composed... dave m

All great shots but #1 is fantastic. Such detail. Where did you find this bird ?

That was shot with a 70-200 at 200mm and I wads about six feet away. I have a very good friend, who is also into photography, that raises them. He asked if I would shoot a couple for him. Raptors Ridge Here is a link to there web site. Very interesting watching them fly the birds. JIM

Amazing that they would let you within six feet. The wild hawk that has visited us since his fledgling days will allow me no where near that close. I usually have to shoot through the window to even get a decent shot.

This of coarse is not the norm but I had his trainer right beside me. JIM

Well done! I've only gotten this close to the following birds:

-Peacock
-Dead

And that's about it!
