Hi.
I got my first DSLR,a white pentax k-x 2 weeks ago,I'm quite happy with it and these are some photos that I took:

Very nice first set. Were you trying to get star trails on the last one?

Congrats on the new camera. Many years of fun ahead. I like the cat shot the most. Nicely done.

I thought that I won't get any star trails with 25 seconds exposure @35mm but appearently I was wrong.

Well, you're on crop, so take that into account, then do this formula:

500 (constant)/focal length = max shutter without trails.

For instance, 35mm on crop is 53.8mm; 500/53.8 = 9.29. So you essentially have 9 seconds before they start trailing.

You sure these are your firsts? Wow, very nicely done. I like how you really got in close to some of your subjects and each photo has a very clear subject. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
