I took this at a rally in protest of the second Gulf War. Thought that with the recent 5th anniversary of 09/11, I'd try a topical image for my first post.

I'm pleased with this one because the rest of the ralliers moved on while this fellow stopped for my camera.

Nice. I like motion blur and focus. I'd cut it at the top.

I like how he stands out amongst the black umbellas and black jackets, very contrasting image.

Thanks, Matjaz. I agree, the windows and sill at the top are annoying. The combination of blurred people in the background and sharp foreground are quite pleasing. I wish I could say that I planned it all that way but I owe more than a little something to luck.

Welcome to you uccemebug. I agree with both of you on the windows, and the pleasing effect of the motion blurr. I also want to say to your comment about luck, Just remember the greatest pictures that have fired shots around the world came to us exactly that way (by luck) no photographer that has ever taken a pulitzer prise winning photo was able to set the sceen. the picture was there at the time. Photography is all luck, and the captures will remain forever.
