The Saga of Boeingsthorpe
Lens: Sigma 28-105/ 2.8-4 Camera: K20d Photo Location: Under the birdfooder ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F5.6

Well, we'll see if we get a saga, but by request from fellow rodent-lovers, here's a shot from last year of a then-young Ms. Boeingsdottir, heir to the legacy of the venerable Boeing and also a cyoot.

I'm a little under-lensed for backyard wildlife chasing, but sometimes they get friendly. And this old Sigma actually doesn't suck, though I did have to crop a good bit. (Actually shot at ISO 2200, which wasn't an option on the dropdown.)

(After a couple glitches: this ought to do it. )

Hee, as for perpspective, I was actually on my stomach: she and her brothers had left the nest a little early, probably cause they were orphaned or their momma was driven off, and at that age, they'll sometimes imprint on people. So, after she'd come to check me out a few times, I just laid down and let her run back and forth and climb on me, check out the camera, (the autofocus was making little not-entirely-unsquirrel-like sounds, so she was nosing about the lens-hood, but I didn't want to startle her with the shutter when she was closer. )

She'll still seem to remember and approach a lot closer than the rest much of the time, but that's about as far as that went.

Almost missed this, thanks for the heads up...things move so fast here, we probably miss a lot.

Hee, yeah, they really do. (It's actually a lot more fun with a faster machine in the house, and especially a proper monitor: this place was close to text-only for me for a long time. In part just cause I couldn't keep *up* with the image-heavy threads. Some stuff I've been struggling through in digital work in general is coming together, now, after a certain amount of frustration (Much of which being from just plain being set in my analog ways. )

The upshot is, it's easier to participate, now.

Yep. There are in fact many cyoots here. It's just hard to 'I'm gonna get you.' here without startling them when going to get camera.

The Cardinal Bros (Biggles, Fang, and 'The Stig') keep teasing me that way.
