My Love Affair With Trains Continues
Lens: SMC DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED(IF) Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Edmonton, Alberta ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/8s Aperture: F1.8

I'm very pleased with the detail I was able to achieve with the K-7 + 16-50mm combination for this shot. This was hand-held at 1/8s. You gotta like Pentax image stabilization!

This is not your typical train shot. Great perspective that is not usually seen. What 16-50 lens did you use that gave you an aperture of f1.8? Typo I would assume.

Woops! Yes, that is a typo. It was actually 2.8. The lens I used was the Pentax SMC DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED(IF).

Thanks and sorry for the error.

That is indeed an excellent shot...I can almost smell the scent of trains. Most unusual, we never see shots like this.
Best Regards!

Fascinating photo - and the B&W conversion is outstanding. I'm glad to see that your lover affair with trains is . . . . . . on track!
