Landscape Hazard Rocks

From about six months ago...the apeture and shutter speeds are what I just picked...these were shot with various shutter and apetures...using a 3 stop soft edge ND-Grad.
Enjoy.

On a seperate note, #1 was just published in Nature Photographer Magazine (Spring 2011)

Nice! I like the first one best, especially the vortex in the puddle, very different/other worldly looking.

Those are all excellent; it's tough to choose a favorite between #1 and #2.

The tide pool was a foreground I chose that morning because I couldn't get as close to the rocks (the edge) as usual....I can usually get right up to this little ledge that normally you can sit on, and the water will just hit the ledge and not wash over...I couldn't that morning...but the tide pool had a great wash through that would happen when waves would get up to it, and I noticed it, and said, "Self you should make about a 2 second shutter speed and catch the swirl...best thing I ever did.

Wow these are amazing. I love #1, it looks like a mini hurricane in that tidepool. Congratulations on getting it published.

Yeah I was on the crapper when I saw it...what better place to find it...get the magazine delivered...go upstairs....look through the whole thing and think, "You didn't get in"
and then see it on the back inside page...nice.
