Flooded Road

We've had an awful lot of rain here lately and the road in front of our house has been intermittently under water. Yesterday evening, the waters receded enough that some vehicles were able to get through.

Photo is pretty noisy and shutter speed is too slow to freeze the headlights, but there was something neat about the mist, etc. Anyway, I thought I'd post it.

This is what the view normally looks like:

Thanks for looking!

The first one is a wonderfully unusal photo - I like the noise, color, look of the lights - the whole thing. Great job, in my view.

+1. I like the 1st photo for its unusual atmosphere/feeling.

For the second one, I feel that the dark clouds occupy too much space. Some simple cropping of the top part would help to have a lovely output. (Remeber the 1/3rh (or 2/3rd) rule, also called he Golden rule.

This is just an opinion and it should not distract you from taking great shots.

You're right. Second photo actually is more of a "throw away" photo taken from my front porch. More to show the contrast from the scene I see out there right now...

Maybe a better crop?

Yep. I like the contrasting colours, but the initial shot needed some cropping/resizing.
