Utah! Zion Canyon on a bike
Lens: 18-55mm WR, 100mm WR Camera: K-7

This is Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. We rode our bikes from the last shuttle bus stop (Temple of Sinawava) to the Canyon Junction stop, and then turned onto the Pa'rus trail. Awesome scenery all the way!

Very cool! I love going to Zion. I've only been a couple times but I thought about bringing my road bike the last time and didn't since I didn't think the roads would be very appropriate for it (figured I'd better buy a mountain bike for that).

beautiful country there, you had quite a workout. Surprised to see that the Virgin river isn't running harder, nice photos thanks Bob

Jarel, thanks for the comments. A road bike should be fine for the Scenic Drive, but the pa'rus trail might be too rough in places. We rented hybrids, no suspension, and they works fine. Zion Cycles is the place to rent in Springdale, they are great.

Thanks much, Bob. Beautiful indeed. You traveling folks have it good there, so much to see.

A ranger said the river volume was about 900 cubic feet/second... nothing dangerous if you stay out of it.

Some nice shots, for sure - the first one tells a story while displaying a beautiful landscape.
