When Your Waitress Smiles...

Forget the IQ, this is about fine cuisine, not fine photography!

When your waitress is delivering your meal and has a big smile, you know it must be good!

What's that......?

A closer look....

With service like this, it is no wonder I have eaten lunch here for years!

Best Regards!

Mmm...possum broth. That is the only time I will use the word..."rendering". And truly, it is best when served on foam plates.

Foam plates, that was a dead giveaway of the class of my eatery, wasn't it?

Best Regards!....... Just having fun, there is too little of it, but the waitress is game for some fun, and knows I am always ready! Lunchtime shouldn't be boring, and it never is at this place!

Rupert, I read there was a fire at Possum Lake somewhere in Texas, I wonder if those sandwiches you enjoy will soon be BBQ'd. Bob

Possum Soup

Ingredients
1 ea Small possum2 l Water1 t Salt16 oz of corn1 pinch Celery leaves1 pinch Parsley1 tbsp Olive Oil1 tbsp flourFried bread,1 slice per serving

Skin and clean possum, then quarter the animal. Place it in a large pot or camp oven along with water and salt. Cover and simmer gently for 3 or 4 hours. (Tough little devils apparently.) Add vegetables and simmer for another 1 1/2 hours (Still tough. Even the veggies are resisting being associated with this.) Strain soup through a large holed colander when meat has left bone and remove bones, especially small ones. Return soup to the pot and add parsley and celery leaves. Thicken with mixed olive oil and flour. Cut fried bread into 1 inch squares and serve soup over toast, boiling hot.

Makes your mouth water, doesn't it! Some here prefer Raccoon, but I'm a Possum man 100%.

Best Regards & I will take your recipe to the Cook down at the SAK. Want me to send you a sample?

Best Regards!

Great idea! Fatten it up on Oreo cookies and have it for dessert!
(Maybe we should stop before PETA starts throwing red paint on my house...)
