Can you provide some information on this excellent image?

- what motivated you to make it?
- what lens did you use?
- any flash?
- who is it and does it have any significance for you?
- any post processing?
- camera?

about the photo

oh, they're my grandmas feet. its significant for me because it shows/symbolizes the path she took and the hardships to get here...
oh it was just a simple point and shoot camera..lens?i think it was 5.4-21.6mm...heheheh..
no.no flash. just macro and sepia effect.
thank you so much for the comment!

I think it is a very special photo. It opens a window to a person I would like to meet.
Great shot.

Cheers

Excellent photos. great composition and subject matter. Your first post of your Grand mothers feet is truly classic photography Very nicely done (Good Job). Your second post brings back memories of my time spent in South East Asia. (That's a pretty scrawny chicken ) You have a wonderful eye and the photos show great heart.
Congrats and welcome to the forum I would love to see more shots.

All of your images are exceptional. I only wish I had your eye for composition. But your first image, of your grandmother's feet is truly a winner. If you hadn't told me, I would have thought that image was made by Eugene Smith. Wonderful. Would love to see more of your work.

First of all, WELCOME to the forum, you've certainly made an impression with your first post and first images.

I looked at the first shot and it captivated me, in that I saw the hardship those feet endured. I personally don't know whether this tone of sepia is the right one but, nonetheless it is an excellent subject representation.

As for the "sacrificial" shots, again, I think they're great and would agree with the rest. Do you have the colour versions of these or did you shoot in BW. If you do have the colour versions, was there a reason why you chose to show them in monochrome.

Again Welcome and looking forward to some more of your work.

Hi Danielle ~ and a very warm welcome to you.

I will echo the sentiments of others, by saying that all of your posted shots are truly very nice. Yes, that 'eye' of yours is something else.

The photo of your grandmother's feet is the one which captivates me the most. That shot is one heckuva 'story-telling' photo indeed. Very well done, and I (too) will be looking for more from you.
