Urban Graffiti - Shanghai
Posted By: Frogfish, 04-30-2011, 09:51 AM

Graffiti is rarely seen in Shanghai, or in China, however the government gave one road over to urban art and it's fun to stroll around this locale given over to art.

Ah, I missed you saying that in post #10. That in itself even a more remarkable thing to learn and have my 'westerly nurtured mind' wrap around; and 'artists designated area' where graffiti is tolerated and perhaps even encouraged. Wow!

interesting series... kudos to those city officials who designated a venue for creativity.. some of these show real artistic promise, others, just gang rubbish.... nice to see a wide spectrum.... perhaps other cities around the globe should follow suit.... dave m

Sorry Aly - as I said in the other forum - I don't know where to buy spray paint here (but without Govt permission you'd probably be arrested anyway) !

Thanks Dave !

Cheers Dave M. The Chinese Govt can be surprisingly liberal at times
