DA* 200mm f/2.8 with Canon 500D macro adapter
Lens: DA* 200mm f/2.8 Camera: K20D ISO: 400

The real warm spring is finally here, so I put a Canon 500D macro adapter on my DA* 200/2.8 and went shooting some macro....

Awesome. How close did you need to be to get those shots with that setup?

Thanks much. The minimal FD is about a foot or so.

Thanks, I love shooting macro with 200mm and 300mm lenses, you get a great minimum FD allowing you not to disturb the bugs....

thanks much! the Canon 500D is the best macro adapter you can possibly get.
they are kind of rare now, but you can pick one on ebay occasionally.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of insects (i.e. spiders) but very well done. I especially enjoyed the photos of the snail.
