Coil Shadows
Lens: DA 35/2.8L Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Our Kitchen ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F13.5

When I walked into our kitchen-living area this morning, I noticed a single ray of early-morning sunshine illuminating a small length of the telephone chord producing shadows. With a still bleary eye, I shot this pic deliberately focusing on the shadows. The whole thing reminded me of helical polymers attending a macromolecular night club.

Hey, thanks Bob. Big words for big molecules; I'm an organic/polymer chemist and my livelihood came from those babies.

Thanks much. A number of folks tell me that drinking a few beers makes all my photos look better .

Yeah, Dave, this shot makes me think of DNA or a couple of proteins interacting - I don't think you're unraveling yet. Thanks for the nice words, buddy.

Wow Jer - You still have a corded phone?
I wonder how many folks under the age of 30 would have been able to figure out what that was?

Sorry for the tardy response, Tim. You know, you're right - nobody uses these anymore . . . . . except geezers like me. Actually, we've got cordless ones in other rooms, and I couldn't live without my iPhone and iPad, so I'm not totally antediluvian .
