Caught in the whirlwind.....
Lens: DA 18mm-55mm Camera: K-x Photo Location: NE Florida, USA ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/2s Aperture: F9.5

I used a 1/2 second shutter speed with my K-x mounted on a tripod and utilized the 2 second delay release. In mid-exposure I fired one burst from my hand held Vivitar 283 flash to freeze the riders.

Wow! These frozen riders give your picture a ghost movie feel. I really like it!

thanks for the sharing the picture and the technique. the result captured the scene profusely - the ghostly images of the rdiers, the sharpness of the rest, and the spectacular perspective with the diverging riders on the foreground....
