There is something - at least to me

- about that little crab in the last image. Something about those eye stalks, and the expression they seem to lend to the thing, that makes me grin

And the water monitor is like some prehistoric beast when you look at it writhe on the ground...

Charlie, while I longed for cooler weather being up there in the swealtering heat and humidity I appreciate your winters are a lot colder than what we get back home. Hope you warm up soon.

I really like the second shot. The lizard looks like a Water Monitor Lizard - they have them in Sri Lanka too where I've seen them.

I believe it is a type of water monitor. Fits the description of a Kimodo dragon of the Malay islands.
