Buzzards Roost

Hundreds of Turkey and Black Vultures roost in this area by Lake Texoma. Early morning is a good time to shoot as the thermals have not yet developed.
Using K100D and Tamron 70-300 @ 260, Shutter Priority @ 1/1000 and Auto ISO up to 3200:


Next one with Turkey Vulture ready for flight - @ 300mm:

Wow, how about the wingspan on that thing. Love the first shot, too, you've created a really nice pattern.
