great series of photos, I have often wondered if they are a bit awkward when taking to flight the first time? Bob

No this one was not awkward for the early flight. However, earlier in the day it was wonderful to watch him/her trying to catch a fish. Two tries, no dinner. Sorry I did not catch photos of that event.

GReat work Mr. Durfor. Watching them go from eggs to flight is an experience in itself. Catching the growth with a camera is even better. That first shot is a perfect pose for an Eagle IMO. I really like it. You were "johnny on the spot".

Wow... this is one of my favorite birds and I think your shots are very good!
Love the departures the best. But they are all above average.
