Nearing the end of my visit to Singapore, and following on from Parts I, II, and III, here are some more scenes from the Sentosa island and the Chinese & Japanese Gardens:

Malay wedding:

Black fan tail:

Good catch

Unfurled Lotus

Garden & beyond:

Ceiling Labyrinth in Sentosa shopping centre:

Another chandelier (as you can see I have a thing for fine lighting fixtures):

Finally, Fibonacci's spiral created by the Chinese Garden's Pagoda staircase:

Final series of my Singapore photos to be posted up soon...

No worries Bob.
A notable aspect about Singapore is that almost *everyone* has a camera, most with dSLRs. It's a photographer society, and I can see why with so much to photograph there.

Ash, a wonderful series. Thanks for sharing these. To many really nice photos to comment on but I can't find one that needs critiquing.

That bird is just mesmerizing! (never seen anything like it!)
Also, I think the shot of the stairs is wonderful.

Congrats on some great images!

Hey Ash, nice series of shots you got at CG/JG.
Sorry for not being able to meet you that day.
The #2 bird is called pied fan-tailed, when it opened it's tail, it looks like a fan.
I guess you got it at Zodiac Garden of Chinese Garden.
Your milky stork got it at the right timing! I usually have not much patience on this bird as he's a poor fisherman. I would place my bet on the purple heron instead.

Thanks Ken. Next time.
I knew I had that bird wrong - thanks for correcting me.
Yep, shot at the Zodiac part, you know that place too well.
That stork was making the local ladies upset as they were feeding the fish...

And thanks to you also Jer...

Cuz that bird usually stayed around that area.
No choice for the ladies to get sad as this is part of ecology.

Interesting shots Ash, and I loved the Stork, perfect! I would love to visit Singapore, it has always held my interest. Doubt I ever will, Squirrels get upset and start destroying things if I am gone for a day.
Best Regards & Post more!

Special request? I picture Singapore as having some outdoor Food Vendors......? If so, I would love to see some shots of the those. The food always looks so different and delicious! In the early 70's I lived in Mexico briefly, and the outdoor vendors were everywhere, I ate many a great meal form some little cart. Never knew exactly what I was eating...but it was very good! I could get 3 enchiladas and a large Coke for 25 cents! Times have sure changed! A cold Mexican beer was 12 cents! Of course, some are picky eaters, not me.....Possum is just fine!
