Oh that first shot of the bird skimming the water is a real an amazing image!
Was it shot in RAW?

Based on what I'm seeing, this image could easily make a wall portrait.
Great shot!

Nice shots, when were you there? I was there on the 13th, it was a great day to be out with the K20D.

Thank you! I was there on the 19th. It would be nice to do a Pentax meetup at Magee Marsh.

Thank you very much for your kind words! I shot in RAW and worked with the Pentax Silkypix - adjusted sensitivity, sharpness and contrast. Your comment is encouraging and I am going to try to blow this up for a good sized print.

I like them both. If the bird in the 2nd shot were a bit sharper (which can be very hard to do with a mirror lens of that focal length) it would be the real standout here imho. Anyway, I find it and the first to be very nice images.

Thanks for sharing them

Maybe we can set something up for next May, or some other time. I only saw one other Pentax the day I was there. Saw a lot of Canikon users struggling with enormous expensive lenses that you had to use a tripod with. Very hard to shoot tiny jumpy birds with that, unless you are only looking for a few shots. Some were doing OK, but an awful lot of them didn't seem to be getting much.
