Wow! Fantastic group of shots - and, yes, I have taken a number of DC pix in
the past but these really blow me away!
Favorites are the first one (US Capitol) and second one (Lincoln Memorial) and the Metro shot.
Questions -
1) How much post processing was needed on the Lincoln Memorial shot? I ask because I know the statue is
very bright white and trying to capture that AND get the
text on the wall both as you got them is a real achievement.
2) How did you get that Metro shot? No, you did not really stand on the tracks to get
that centered shot, did you?
Just kidding - but HOW DID you get that shot?

Thanks very much, glad you liked the shots. I did take an awful lot of photos and that makes a difference when I came to choose a "top 10".

The night Lincoln memorial didn't take much processing, I did bracket the shot but ended up choosing the 0EV shot anyway and not doing an HDR. The K-x had just enough DR to capture the scene.

The metro shot was taken from a walkway over the railway tracks. I rested the camera on the handrail and fired off 3 shots. The end result you see here is an HDR. Wish I had some other dramatic story to tell like leaping onto the tracks and dodging the trains, but it really was just a matter of looking round for a vantage point and taking the opportunity once I found it.

Thanks again, and happy shooting

Wow, great to hear that.

Now that gives me a lot more respect for HDR which I usually do not appreciate.

Keep up the good shooting (and posting).
