A little thunder storm, full of fire, coming in from the southwest, over the plains of northeastern Oregon.

Wow!. Nice pixtures everyone.
Here are couple of my lucky shots. First one cropped, adjusted exposure to bring out streamers,( struck about 300 yards away, plenty loud too)
Second one is as shot , both taken from my garage last summer.

Cheers.
Mike.

OK ... not my shot ... but it was sent to me after the damaging storms across Sydney in 2001.

I can't take credit for it though ... but I thought it was worth sharing as it is an awesome image. No hi-res version though.

That storm was a big hailstorm/flash flood that came up from Wollongong one evening ... I remember seeing it head up the coast while I was driving home from work.

Was about $2.3billion worth of damage ... was the most expensive natural disaster in Australia's history (just read it on the Bureau of Meteorology).

well im new here, and reasonably new to the world of Pentax DSLR, the first few images are from, and don't yell at me an Olympus point and shoot...with a Jerry rigged remote shutter for lightning..

now, i finally took the step into the DSLR world in September last year, and have taken these since i purchased my K100D..

i personally think my photography has improved since i got my K100D simply because of the availability of manual settings ..

OK ... now that is an awesome shot right there.

I was gonig to head out the other evening and get some lightning shots ... but I chickened out after a bolt took out one of our trees in the side paddock ... less then 100m away from me ... was deafening ... is scrambled back inside.

It was torrential rain at the time too ... so wasn't liking the idea of stepping ourt from under the verandah either.

Here's a nuke of a storm going off just inland from Darwin. We are in the grips of a strong monsoon at the moment so it's very wet. I'll try and get a few new pics soon.
