Remembering Memorial Day-2011

Just doing my annual Memorial day session down at Riverside cemetery in Saugus Ma. to reflect and give thanks to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy the freedoms that some take for granted in our lives.God bless them and give them eternal peace.--charliezap

Thanks for posting, Charlie. Memorial Day is a bittersweet day for me. I was born on 30 May, and this is also the day we set aside to remember those who gave all. Sort of from one end to the other. I'm a vet (USN, 64-68), and I say thank you to those whose gave all and to those who now serve.

Great series Charlie. So few have defended our rights to survive in this, at times, bitter planet. Very important holiday and we should all take our hats off when any soldier walks by or we past a vets cemetry. Thank you for sharing. JIM
