It is always worth the drive to come up to Vermont! Another of our treasures captured beautifully. Wonderful job!

I have mixed feelings about this image, as it has so wonderfully captured the beauty of Vermont, soon all the flatlanders will flock to the state, causing all kinds of problems.

Fortunately the snow and cold will chase them away the first winter.

And they will always have your photo to look at!

They might be slowed down a bit by the construction on I-91 though...sheesh.

Thanks for your comment though...glad you like it.

Vermont is beautiful in every season, but you are right about those winters, Djorn - they are surprisingly cold and long, and this certainly scares people away. There's no reason to fear the influx of flatlanders - the state had only a 0.1% population gain in 2009, it might as well start losing population soon.

That is a wonderful image, thanks for showing us. I have been through Vermont many times but never had the time to stop and look at anything. BTW, who qualifies as a "flatlander"?
