show us your spiders - for EddyinGA
Posted By: foxglove, 11-08-2007, 11:56 AM

Okay, Eddy asked, I will provide. (Can you tell I don't want to work today?)

First, "basking", which is in the Pentax Photo Gallery

And another one that I like, shot around the same time (it was spider season):

And what the heck, this one was taken with my Oly Stylus, but it's a cool spider, and it was one of the triggers for me to finally get a DSLR.

Let's see some more spiders!

Okay, shot with the Minolta 7D, but I'm justifying the post since I used the 50/1.4 SMC Takumar and some extension tubes. A wolf (or hunting) spider I think.

100% crop...here's lookin' at you kid.

Wow. Those are really some great macros. I have to admit to hating spiders but I do appreciate the photography.

I'd like to ask a real newbie question here. How exactly do you achieve a 100% crop?

Golden Orb Spider (I think?)

I am no specialist on spiders, so I am not sure.
I do know a deadly Sydney Funnelweb and it definitely is not one of them!!
I have been face to face a couple of Funnelwebs (one in my own yard) not recommendable.
Now that IS Arachnaphobia

Hi everyone, here are a few from last year, (all in the Pentax Gallery)

We got back from our 9 weekroad trip a couple weeks ago and I am way behind in processing but am getting there. I do have some new spiders from this year but did not use the K100D to take them so I won't post them here.

Take care, Heinrich
