Bird of Paradise
Photo Location: Arizona

The plant is common in the deserts of the southwest and produces beautiful blossoms annually. The 2nd photo is looking down at the plant and all blossoms have not opened yet. Thanks for looking. Bob

Charlie, I used my 50mm macro on shots 1 and 3 and the 43mm on #2. I think your really going to like the 100mm, wonderful lens. Looks like good weather for you today, should give you some time to experiment a bit. Bob

Hi Bob, still enjoying your travels! At first glance I agree on #1 and #3, but after looking again, and then again, I keep coming back to #2. It is a very sharp shot with an almost 3D feel to it, which grows on me everytime I look at it

I shot #3 with the 43mm ltd a couple of days after the others were taken. I was hoping all the blooms would be open, but I was a week too soon and we had to leave the area and head to California. When all the blooms are open, it is quite a beautiful plant. thanks for commenting, always appreciated. Bob
