Annas HBs - Part II
Lens: DA 300mm Camera: K5

humdinger shots !! beautiful clarity, color and bokeh... with a 300mm and 1.4 tele at 1600.. wow!

That first one especially is just mind boggling. Wonderful captures both but the first one is just well, wow.

Thanks much. They are both male - it's the same hummingbird. In the second shot he's just not flashing his colors.

I think it's a good result - a big step up from the results I was getting with K20d and K7. With those cameras once I got near ISO 1600 the noise was pretty harsh. I've just started using that TC - looks like the glass is pretty good quality and doesn't interfere with the DA 300 colors/clarity too much.

Thanks again Chris,

Yes - seems to be working well. Nice to see the IQ holding up when paired with the DA 300mm, since I use that lens quite a bit.
