... that is, according to WITOLD RYBCZYNCKI's philosophy of how to design a house. A painting was made of this house early in the 20th century and is used on the cover of his book titled the same (details below).
The house is presently owned by the Field family. We spent the extended Memorial Day weekend here along with the co-owners and other friends for four days of food, drink and fun!
The night photos are also my best success at a long 30 second exposure, painting the subject with a flashlight; in this case amazingly just a small 5 led flashlight. It's quite remarkable the difference that small amount of lumens can make, as the house is quite dark without it. Additionally you can clearly see the effect it has on the trees where I failed to hit it with the light. More remarkable is how the stars resolved at f/5.6 & f/6.3 at a mere ISO800 of boost. The K-5 continues to amaze and please.

(the converging parallel lines in the photo sure make me wish a 12mm shift lens existed, and I owned one)
