The only thing I don't like is the fact we don't see enough Flora shots from you when you can produce great shots............... so get clicking!!

thanks EM, I took the K-5 down to the garden and took some more shots with the 50mm f/2.8 macro. Here are a couple of photos that I took with this combination under almost direct sunlight. I think our campground is the only place in this part of Nevada that has any flora at this time of the year, the rest is all desert, but beautiful in its own right. Bob

I'm no expert and this is just a suggestion, take your aperture up to F11 and step back from the subject until you see it fully in the viewfinder then take the shot once you have your focus spot on. Even if the subject is smaller in the shot, if your focus is sharp you can get a good crop on it to resize it. The shots you've taken are good but may be improved by following those steps.

thanks EM, yeah you nailed it, I tend to get as close to the subject as possible thinking it is a macro lens, so you do that to get a larger image. This will make focusing a lot easier and faster also, thanks and I will put that one into effect. Bob
