Norm, that is some beautiful country, what pretty blue water and you even threw in a moose for our viewing pleasure. Is this part of your canoe adventure?

Yes Bob...all part of our 11 day canoe trip. The canoe trip was fine but, we did 17 Km (11 miles) in portages, and we did them all 2.5 -3 times so probably about 40 miles carrying 70 pounds or more. We're in real good shape right now, it goes without saying. Tess has written up the whole story with all the gory details, under the first link after the pictures. I have to say, a 65 year old woman we know came with us on the trip. What and amazing amount of gung-ho-ness.

thanks Norm, I will take a look at the blog. Oh, just remembered to tell you, again I might add, don't drink the water downstream when a moose is wading upstream, let Tess know also. Bob

Norm, just finished viewing Tess' wonderful account of what is really an adventure for everyone to read and view. I highly recommend it with plenty of great photos to document the canoe adventure and comedy mixed in, it was a true joy to read. Thanks Tess and Norm.

Yes, Bob I have to agree, Tess certainly has me beat as writer. I've been posting trip reports for years.. it took Tess' report exactly 4 days to move into 3rd place on my all time hits list. Some of those reports have been on the web for 5 years. I write facts, she writes stories. At this rate, she'll be in second place by the end of the week.

Hey Bob, it is so great you read that report, I know it is long-winded, but a lot happened. Thanks for reading and sharing some of your thoughts on our adventures. We hope to have another "epic journey" this fall, in the meantime, the canoe trips we will be doing this summer will seem very tame comparably.

Cheers!!!

I just discovered the bottom link was to the wrong page. There is a photo slide show on the page I meant to click to. Sorry about that. I've corrected it now but to save you scrolling back up to the top you can just click here.
