Quite unintersting really, and the background is noisy, and there's too much nothingness on the right. IMHO, that is.

I think the light just was not working for you there. The flank got blown out and the darker areas are very noisy.

Thanks, guys. I think I'll post it in the Photo Critique forum to get even more statements like this.

Hey, don't sweat it, you can join my Club of "Not So Hot Shots" ....I have a ton of Members but if the truth were known, I would have a lot more!
We just keep shooting, something good is bound to surprise us....anyhow, we keep hoping!

Sometimes I feel like crawling in a box and hiding.......ever get that feeling?

Regards!

Cute! BTW, I like the horse shot. I see what they're saying, but I also see the effects of the evening sun and the dust the horse is stirring up and I like how he's heading straight at me - and the noise does not bother me. This photo was taken the last time I'll be on that farm - my mother had a stroke and they are moving to a retirement community. There's a lot more behind photos than just technique. I appreciate the smile you brought with the squirrel though. Some days are better than others, and some photos are better than others, but they all have memories attached to them.

Well, the most important thing is if you like it.......I have a bunch that I like and others don't seem to appreciate......doesn't matter really.

I keep shooting....coming out of the box...

Is easier than going in...

Regards!

I'm certain that if that information had been included in the original post, I might have reviewed it differently.

Without that information, the image is, as I said, relatively uninteresting. It's the 'what this picture means to me' information in your more recent post that makes it interesting, if not priceless, to you.

I'm sure that it will evoke many mixed memories for you and your family in years to come.
