Yes, they're just random people on the street I ask for portraits

I also like the first image best. Her eyes are charged with positive energy and that makes the whole image to stand out. Besides, the framing of the first capture is least tight and that makes the hair "play" in the picture too.
Good work!

## 1, 3 & 4 are excellent.

I'm curious, how often do you get negative reactions to your request to photo strangers? What's your success rate, roughly?

I almost never get negative reactions. I can't think of a time when someone responded negatively anyways. My success rate is pretty high, about 90%, i'm pretty surprised. But I think it must have something to do with how I approach them, not just that but the interaction in general. If I go out at 5:00 p.m. and spend 2 hours walking around, I may get 8-12 portraits of different people, with 1 refusal. 100% success rate sometimes. There are people I can sort of tell would probably not have their picture taken if it weren't for the approach. I definitely make a heck of a lot of work for myself shooting in raw at 4.5 fps with this k-x...

Good work!
I was thinking the same thing when I tried cropping it to see how it would look. It just restricted the playfulness and movement of the composition too much.

That sounds great. I like this type of photography. Portraits are great of course, nature is beautiful, but there's something about candid shots like this that seem to tell a richer, more interesting story, IMO.

Keep it up! Love to see more of your work!
