Hi,

It is sad to see these old birds left abandoned. This particular one was involved in a ground accident with another aircraft back in the early 1990's and was never repaired.

First picture with K20 and DA L 55-300. All others K100D Super and DA18-55

Sad indeed! Was this in Puerto Rico? I was a bit confused by what looks like bamboo in the background.

Hi Rob,

Yes, this is in Puerto Rico near the Rafael Hernandez airport, once Ramey Air Force Base.
We have plenty of bamboo. I heard it was brought here in the 19th century.

Great Series of images of the "Connie".

Saw a few of these when I was a kid but never had to opportunity to board and fly on one of them.

Fantastic series Ismael.Grew up with that 'Radial Roar' in the ears,.Being TWA hub here,dozens of times a day.Really brings back some memories.
