a random selection of kevy's images

well here goes.... i have been into photography for almost 7 years now. up until yesterday afternoon i had been using a soviet 35mm zorki SLR and also a cannon powershot a530 mini digi cam. I purchased a PENTAX K100D with a 15-50mm lense+(uv & polarise filter) along with a velbon sherpa 250R tripod. i am amazed at the sheer quality and functionality of the k100d. For a relatively cheap DSLR, i think you would be hard pressed in finding a better camera in this price range. Since yesterday i have been spending alot of time, trying to work out all the features etc,so far so good.
. im very much a learner as far as photography goes, and especially at photoshop and digital etc. i have never actually had any lessons, tuition, or course work to teach me about photography and how to take photos, so all the photos you see here are purely an interpretation of what i feel photography is all about.... and that is to be able to capture an image that speaks a thousand words and can last a lifetime.. i would really appreiciate any comments (gud and bad) , as i still have so much to learn..

Many beautiful shots there, too many for me to really comment on them all. The one of the snail against the wall #10 and the colourful one of I'm not sure what in bottles.. #17 stood out for me. Especially #10..beautiful.

Please tell me you are a professional protographer, then I won't feel so bad about my pictures!

Wow, I am very impressed. Lots of very good work I think. Every one of the shots reached out and "grabbed" me - there is a lot of energy and emotion in them I think.

I am totally blown away by your pictures. I saw them. Went out of the room and sulked in a corner, had a smoke. Your pictures proves once more that it is the photographer and not the camera which makes great pictures. If the EXIF info is correct then the first one is taken with a Canon Powershot 530. I am speechless. I would have thought this is a high end film camera with a high end lens with a high end scan.

After sulking I am inspired. I shall work harder now to take good pictures.
