Bodega Bay Sunset
Posted By: dantuyhoa, 11-15-2007, 12:13 AM

I chased this cloud for 30 minutes to the edge of the water for this shot . Abit of noise but that will be a good excuse for acquiring some noise reduction software

C&C is always welcome , of course , otherwise I won't learn a dang thing !

Beautiful shot! Yeah a bit of noise there but you know you want that NR software! Oh, and straighten the horizon or all the water will spill out of the lake.

Chasing the cloud was worthwhile for a photo result like that.

Yeah, nice colours but as said straighten the horizon and make sure you are focused right on infinity.

Bodega sunrise

Beautiful sunset and colours. When a foreground is large and appears much like a silhouette and does not seem to enhance the image, why not try to minimize its impact by reducing its size- something like this.

Beautiful colors...Brings back fond memories for me from time spent in Bodega Bay over 30 years ago.

beautiful sunset. its a shame its out of focus tho.. you should mayb look into purchasing a remote for youre cameras shutter, thus eliminating any unwanted vibration/movement whilst taking long exposures.. i love sunsets, so make sure you post some more mate!!

Thanks guys .

Perhaps it's not the best wisdom to post a M42ed shot but I did it in large size to get some honest feedbacks . I was getting close to the water edge until the ground was very soft on my feet! The photo was taken with the camera braced against a rock . But that obviously was not enough ! Should have taken the tripod and my cable !

Thanks again for you kind words
