Urban shots with Roentarre
Posted By: joele, 12-16-2006, 02:35 AM

Got out with James toady for some urban shots around Melbourne.. Wasn't feeling so inspired today, but thought I would post a few anyway..

Reflections

Need a drink!

Time to use the DA21

Though I need to feed the meter first

Some interesting grafitti

Elm Tower

I have noticed the slight FF I had with the DA21 on the K100d (not a big issue but was present) seems to be rectified with the K10d...

Your wall graffiti shot was better captured than mine.

First shot is nice, better than mine as well.

I have not yet processed my photographs yet but I guess I will do that when I am more motivated

Your Da21 is good to be put into some use

Talk soon

Cool shots Joel....I like them all, but love the Elm Tower shot...I know it's sometimes hard to be inspired...but well done.

The grafitti shot is mesmerizing...

I can't help but wonder what was in the mind of the artist when it was being done.

Well captured.

You would not want to know the mind of that aritist...

By the look of that grafitti, no face for these people, defaced with no entities. Quite scary.

Mental state could be...

Depression, Negative view of the world, Psychosis, Mania, Hatred, Hallucination, Delusion...

Or

Purist like animal lovers (hence human identities not important)

Or

Not yet learnt how to draw human faces that well or cannot bother to draw human faces...

Cheers

Joel if this is your uninspired work, I am glad it is Jame you walkabout with and not me. Your standards are, to my mind, qualitative.

You have a most excellent eye for composition of the miscellanious aspects of city life.

Hard time choosing a favorite between #1, #2 or #5. But I do like them all.

They all look good to me. The graffiti shot is very eye-catching and the fountain is a very neat perspective. Nicely done!

Thanks Clarence, I'm sure we all have days where none of our shots look quiet 'right' to us...

And I think #1 was my fav for the day, so I'm glad you liked it...

And thanks Andrew, Tom and Scott...

Great shots, Joele.

Particularly like 2, 4 + 5. Great composition, and nice modern avant-garde style. I might have been tempted to PP number 4, for a darker feel.

Duncan.
