Very Nice. I like the dynamic quality- the fact the nuthatch is at oblique angle and the line of the true bark reinforce that quality. Also the blue of the bird and the grey of the bark. Nice indeed!

These little guys scamper around so quickly and are seldom still for more than a couple of seconds. It is a very nice image focused perfectly.

My (late) Grandma called them 'ass-ups' because that is the usual position they are seen on a tree.

Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean. They grab one seed and are gone! Over a couple of days I was able to get some better shots of him. He would come down to get safflower seeds from an old tuna can which we have nailed to the tree. I knew he'd be there off and on, so set the AV high enough to get some DOF, pre-focused & switched to Manual Focus, and waited

Good one!

Good pose and composition.

I think the focus is off a little, though - the bird looks soft compared to the bark to the right, which could be explained by the fact you pre-focussed on the tree trunk.

Very nice, sharp and great colours. It's tough catching these guys, they are real quick.

I love the diagonal line the tree and bird are making. Lots of energy.
