in the Nevada Desert produces beautiful cloud formations and lightning. Photographed in bulb mode, lighting provided by the sheet lightning above. Sky was pitch black during the time period photo was taken. C and C always welcome. Bob

Looks great Bob, did I mention I got hit by lightening last year.. didn't affect my brain none though. I'm probably pretty much almost as coherent as ever. I mean I think more good.

Anyway one the C and C... maybe you could have done a little dodging and contrasting to bring out a little more detail in the clouds at the top.. I'm not sure what you saw so I'm not sure what was there in the original image, maybe that's the best you could do with it... but that's what comes to mind when I look at it.

"Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky . . . . stormy weather." Nice capture, Bob - something I've never managed to do.

We sure would like to see some of this stuff around here - accompanied by copious quantities of RAIN!

Jer

thanks Jer, I have a friends up in Dripping Springs TX and they said they have only gotten one rain this summer, temps in the 100 degree range and very high fire danger. They have a creek running through their property and it is now dry. With those high temps and humidity, it is hard to accomplish anything outside. Bob

Hey, thanks Tom, glad you liked it. Shooting in bulb and leaving the shutter open fro long periods of time during storms gives some interesting photos. I am going to experiment more as the storms come through. take care Bob
