How much PP did you do? In-camera or in computer?

Honestly I feel that the shot was over-post-processed which would be a pity because the scenary and rainbow are very nice. Please take this comment in a constructive spirit.

It was edited using Corel X2. I clicked on "smart photo fix" and then "clarify". That's It, I actually thought the sky was overdone, but I did not intentionally add any color. Editing is my downfall, I must admit, but glad you liked part of the photo. You can tell that I had a very bright sun hitting the mountains and sandstone cliffs, but my main objective was the rainbow, thanks for commenting Bob

No pot of gold here, but I did win $250 at one of the casinos in town. I guess the photo is a bit over done in p/p but I like the rainbow also. thanks for looking. Bob

That picture has a lot going for it Bob, keep up the good work. We don't have so many reddish things around here, so that's a pretty unusual (for us) colour palette you have to work with. I know what you mean with the PP, sometimes we do the "auto levels" thing, and then just remove it. The software doesn't always know what's best. That is particularly true of sunsets, like this one where the sky and background are dark and the mountains are bright. Those shots give you incentive to learn PP.

Hi Bob--Yesterday I was bored in work and played a little with your shot.I hope that you don't mind.I used my Paint Shop Pro 8 to see what I could do. I think that it cleaned up a little.BTW--I didn't win anything on the All Star Pool game but 2 of the big winners duked me an extra $50 apiece.--charliezap

thanks Norm, it seems at times, I just over edit photos, so I have tried to cut back on the process and keep it as simple as possible. I do have to put more time into the p/p to improve my shots, or I could move to a place where everything is green. take care Bob

Charlie, that is the main thing I can see, is that the image is now clean, no noise. No, I don't mind at all when anyone wants to adjust images I post. It goes back to what my Mom used to say about me "Bobby never minds at all", maybe she meant something else come to thing of it. I would say you did pretty well with the pool, you did better than the majority of the players. thanks Bob
